I noticed that there were some Tea Party tax protests recently… did anyone attend? Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

The entertainment industry is in a big slump… Disney is cutting back employees, giving discounts at Walt Disney World, movie studios are going bankrupt, where is the stimulus for hollywood… where is the entertainment industry bailout ? Sound silly ? It isnt… if the car companies are too big to fail, if the banks are too big to fail, why not entertainment ? Why is it so outlandish to think that tv and movies studios deserve some free money to keep all these actors employed… why would we be willing to make sure financial employees keep their jobs… auto workers, etc… so, how many blogs have you read lately on this bailout ? Do you often read entertainment industry blogs and web logs ? If you could choose between a blog and a newspaper, which news source would you be more inclined to read ? If you were looking for information about lasik Los Angeles - and you wanted to read a blog or a newspaper, which would you choose ? If you wanted to read a web log about lasik Los Angeles you could try reading about a great lasik blog called IQ Lasik Blog. The media has truly been entertaining during these past two years… and my question always comes back to… what is the role of the media ? What is the media’s place in society ? In history ?

I ask this truly deep question because in ancient times entertainers were lower than prostitutes… they were not paid millions of dollars to run around pretending to be important people… in fact, people didn’t aspire to Entertain others the way they do today…

My brother and I are always having deep conversations about all kinds of things, and once in a great while we start talking about doctors, and medicine and about that time, he mentioned to me that his eyes were fixed by Dr. Robert T Lin - and has highly recommended Dr. Robert T Lin as a top Lasik Eye Surgeon for Lasik Los Angeles and the surrounding areas… after talking about hospitals and surgeons, and other very important people… we began to talk about actors and entertainers again… and we couldnt help but keep coming back to how they are put on such a pedastal today…

We started thinking about how much money people have made to pretend to be a teacher, or a fireman, or a policeman, or a member of the military… and how little the real players make and get for their heroics… while the few people who pretend to do the same thing… get paid millions… I don’t know… what do you guys think ?

Any thoughts ?

I have heard people say that the entertainment industry seems to thrive in times of economic downturn… is this true ? Do people who are having economic hardships actually go out and spend more money for entertainment, etc ?

I wonder what will happen this time around ?

Are the current day paparazzi the scum of the earth ?

I guess it would depend on who you are.  If you are an avid reader of the tabloids or lover of everything Hollywood, then I imagine you love the paparazzi.   If you are a normal person, then you probably hate the paparazzi.

The paparazzi in Los Angeles are like vultures.  Even Britney Spears (who makes her living by being noticed) has had enough.  Look here:

I do not like the paparazzi as I think they are completely useless BUT the government should not be regulating it.  One man’s paparazzi is another man’s journalist.  If we start regulating paparazzi it will not be long before the freedom of the press is infringed upon.

I hear that this is their second year of running these… of course Google now owns YouTube… so, you can only think that YouTube should get better, and now that they have an unlimited amount of money behind them… they should be able to continue to set the trend in this new frontier…
