Will the Media Entertain or just be the Entertainment?
The media has truly been entertaining during these past two years… and my question always comes back to… what is the role of the media ? What is the media’s place in society ? In history ?
I ask this truly deep question because in ancient times entertainers were lower than prostitutes… they were not paid millions of dollars to run around pretending to be important people… in fact, people didn’t aspire to Entertain others the way they do today…
My brother and I are always having deep conversations about all kinds of things, and once in a great while we start talking about doctors, and medicine and about that time, he mentioned to me that his eyes were fixed by Dr. Robert T Lin - and has highly recommended Dr. Robert T Lin as a top Lasik Eye Surgeon for Lasik Los Angeles and the surrounding areas… after talking about hospitals and surgeons, and other very important people… we began to talk about actors and entertainers again… and we couldnt help but keep coming back to how they are put on such a pedastal today…
We just talked for hours and hours and hours about how crazy it was that such people could be given that much importance for pretending to be important people. We started thinking about how much money people have made to pretend to be a teacher, or a fireman, or a policeman, or a member of the military… and how little the real players make and get for their heroics… while the few people who pretend to do the same thing… get paid millions… I don’t know… what do you guys think ?
